What about the hot embossing process?
As the name suggests, hot stamping involves using DTF ink to print designs onto PET film, along with white glue and resin glue , and then stamping the design onto the fabric. If a rubber layer is applied , the end result is a smooth-to-the-touch, brightly colored, crisp, and realistic design that can be used on a variety of fabrics such as cotton, polyester, knits, non-wovens , leather products, and luggage materials, among others.
Regarding the hot stamping process , compared to sublimation technology, its advantage is that it can be applied to cotton, knitwear and other fabrics. However, the disadvantage is that the material of the garment may change significantly, and it is obvious that a layer of glue is present on the fabric. In addition, the pattern may fade easily and the color fastness is not very high .
There are various hot stamping methods , which can be broadly classified into three categories : hot peel , cold peel , and direct peel. Glass bead hot stamping falls into the first category . Before hot stamping , the design is removed from the PET film and positioned on the fabric to be printed .
Cold tearing processes include glossy side hot stamping , matte side hot stamping , flocked hot stamping , gold and silver foil hot stamping, reflective hot stamping , crystal illusion hot stamping, and pure gold onion hot stamping . In cold tearing , the hot stamping machine sounds an alarm, and after lifting the machine, the fabric and the pasted pattern are removed and allowed to cool before being torn off .
On the other hand, direct peel hot stamping includes transfer hot stamping, solid color screen printing hot stamping, gold onion hot stamping, foam hot stamping, pearl hot stamping, sublimation hot stamping and washing label hot stamping. In the case of direct peel, the hot stamping machine sounds an alarm and the fabric is lifted immediately , after which the PET film is peeled off .
It is important to note that this classification is not absolute, as, for example, hot transfer stamping can also be transformed into a cold peel process depending on the fabric and the manufacturer's requirements. Transfer printing and hot stamping have a very diverse range of applications and types , with processes and effects constantly being updated. The processes vary from place to place and include high-frequency hot stamping and laser hot stamping , with various names, also called hot stamping , transfer printing, etc.
