What is DTF ink powder thermal transfer film?

DTF ink powder heat transfer film is an ink-absorbing PET film suitable for digital transfer printing. The pattern obtained after ironing has a texture similar to PU glue, providing high elastic resilience without deformation and a softer feel than glue. It is compatible with most inks available on the market, allowing 100% ink printing without accumulation or flow. The surface of the film is dry and can be sprinkled with 200 mesh ultra-fine powder without sticking, making it easy to apply hot, warm, or cold.

When using DTF ink powder thermal transfer film, the surface with the ink-absorbing coating should be the printing surface. Care should be taken in handling and pay attention to the anti-scratch ink-absorbing coating. After printing, bake for 40-90 seconds and choose 60-80 mesh hot melt powder for instant tearing, 100-150 mesh hot melt powder is recommended for warm or cold tearing, and 150+ mesh hot melt powder is recommended for cold tearing. Store the film in a dry place, paying attention to humidity.

It is important to note that if the baking temperature is too high or the baking time is too long after printing with hot melt powder, white spots may appear on the surface of the pattern. This is due to the slow drying agent in the ink, which forms a film after the hot melt powder is heated and cannot be volatilized. After the gas cools, mist crystals will form on the surface of the pattern. This whitening phenomenon will gradually disappear after several days of storage and contact with air, and will not affect the beauty of the pattern thereafter.

The pressing temperature for transfer is 140-160 degrees, for 6-10 seconds, according to the different mesh of the hot melt powder, and the temperature zone most suitable for the fabric can be adjusted to easily achieve hot tearing.
